How to Configure a Daily Update for Your Action

A daily update is a report or summary of progress, changes, or events that occur on a regular basis. For example, a team might provide daily updates to the rest of the company during morning meetings. You can enable daily updates for your Action by configuring an intent that matches this description and displaying a subscription prompt—which you can display mid-conversation or as a suggestion chip when the user exits your Action—to encourage users to subscribe.

To ensure your daily updates are useful, offer them only after you’ve shown the benefit of your Action to the user. Repeated prompts to register may annoy the user and cause them to unsubscribe, so only provide a daily updates subscription after you’ve demonstrated what the action can do for your users.

How to configure daily updates

To enable daily updates, go to the Actions console and open your Action. Click Develop in the top menu and then click Intents in the left pane. Add a new intent that matches the description of your daily update and click Add intent handler.
